An Open Letter to Our church and Community

An Open Letter to Our Church and Community
I know it is a scary and crazy time right now and many are looking for the comfort and, for lack of a better word, sameness of their church and their church routine. Understanding this we must also realize the threat to many in our congregations. The legitimate fear of extreme sickness and possibly death to our elderly congregants is not something to be scoffed at. At this time, we have decided to cancel all church activities. We are not having Sunday services nor are we having Wednesday night prayer and youth group. We also have cancelled all church extracurricular activities such as meetings and other ministries.
This however does not mean that church is “shut down”. We are working on getting either a live stream of a message and music on Facebook at the church Facebook page or at least having a recorded message available. This will be starting at 10:45 Sunday morning. While this is not ideal, it may be the new norm for the next few weeks.
We also are currently working on an online giving platform for those that want to continue supporting the church during this time. It will be through a company called Tithely and we are working on getting a button on the website and they also have a free app to download on your phone and you can give from either location. It takes about 5 minutes to set up your account and you can begin giving with that option. It will be something that we continue to use afterwards as well if it is well received.
During this time do not turn on one another and do not let Satan have victory in this. Continue to pray for one another and our community and I look forward to being in church with you again soon. If you have any questions or concerns please call me and I will do what I can.

Pastor Jason Brogan

Romans 12:12

I know patience and joyfulness are not a lot of the feelings I’ve been having lately. I’ve been more of a complainer and an impatient person these days. But, today is young and I’m choosing to live this verse. I hope you will too! Because the more light we shine into the world the brighter it will become. So, let’s be joyful, patient, and faithful in prayer. Not just today but always.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12

About us..

We are Jason and Michelle Brogan. We have been married for twenty-five years. We have three great kids. One married, one in college, and one about to go to college. You could say we are almost empty nesters. You could also say we aren’t quite ready.

Jason’s a pastor. He specializes in revitalizing churches that have seen better days. Michelle’s a homemaker. She home schools and helps Jason in the church.

We want to share things on our blog that will help others. We will write about church growth, marriage, kids, family life, homeschooling and who know what else. God has blessed us tremendously but our life has seen its fair share of ups and downs. We will also share struggles, praises, and how we have overcome tough things in our lives.
